Who are the Diabetes Action Group?

The Diabetes Action Group (fondly known as the "DAG’s") are volunteers who assist the Diabetes Centre at The Queen Elizabeth.

Our volunteers have a passion to help increase community awareness of diabetes. They do this by assisting with health promotion days in the community, at the Diabetes Centre and within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Other duties include collating diabetes educational material for educational sessions, newsletters and mailouts.

Volunteers also enjoy the opportunity to chat to other people about their diabetes and create friendships over a coffee at a monthly get together at the Diabetes Centre.

If you are interested in more information about the volunteers, please ring 8222 6770 and we will send you the information and an application form.
